In the rural village of Dumay, a school has been built providing education for even the poorest children. However, in some cases children were unable to attend as many families need their children to work and help provide food. For some, there are occasions when even providing one meal a day is more than they are able. In spring of 2008, a feeding program was started at the school. One week later, food riots shut down schools, but not in Dumay. Food prices have tripled from fall 2007 to summer 2008. We want these children to continue to be fed and educated.
$.50 per day per student provides the food that helps ensure the education. (450 students)
